    Craig,

Do you remember presenting a podcast on IE radio (Internet Evolution back in March? (http://www.internetevolution.com/radio.asp?doc_id=203722)

After discussion there, I obtained a copy of your book and have taken WEEKS to work my way through it.

    See review at:

Have moved-on to “The Shallows” and “Bowling Alone”. Will welcome further pointers as to ‘where next’.

What do you have planned to follow-up the initial surveys for YaD?
(am not on Twitter (for ADT reasons!?) and have thus far failed to find a way to receive email alerts for YaD web site updates)

    Regards,

      Hello David:

We are planning for a series of ethnographic case studies as well as some work with middle and high school students in innovative
learning environments that promote digital media literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

    Craig,

Just read your article on Mobile Phones and America’s Learning Divide. I can not agree more. For the past two years we have been working on bringing open courseware materials to the mobile platform and have had more than 60,000 students use our apps. We are currently turning anroid tablets in affordable education devices and bringing them to students most in need (at under $200).

Would love to connect with you sometime and get your thoughts on our organization.

    Hi Craig:

I teach a course called “Society, Technology, and the Future” and thus find your work interesting. I also blog about inequality and steps nonprofits are taking to redress it.

I think you may find my latest post of particular interest: http://oppforall.com/2011/09/19/comcast%e2%80%99s-half-baked-plan-to-create-greater-equality-online/

  5. Hi Craig,

It was wonderful to meet you today at SXSWedu, thank you for taking the time to share all your findings. Twist Education is a San Antonio based company producing games that will teach physics to high school students. We are looking forward to our first episodic adventure game that will teach the relationships between Force, Energy and Matter by early next month. Would like to set up a time to meet with you during SXSWedu to discuss and share our initiatives to reimagine science education. Look forward to your response.

    Hi Craig,

I’m doing a persuasive research paper on internet use at school for my 12-grade British Literature class, and I happened to come across your blog on DMLcentral.net. It’s really helpful with my argument against the blocking of websites at school! You really seem to know what the students want to do when it comes to the Internet. When you can, could you please email me at noahkessler96@gmail.com?

    Thanks,

    Noah Kessler
