Since the publication of The Young and the Digital the questions and issues that we engaged have continued to evolve. Even as I was finishing the book I knew that social, mobile and digital media behaviors were in a constant state of flux. In a short period of time young people have moved from Email, to AIM, to texting, then Friendster, MySpace, and Facebook. As a result, research and analysis has to be both knowledgeable and flexible. Our research team continues to rigorously study and keep our pulse on the digital world. In September (2009) we will launch a series of research initiatives exploring the layers of behaviors that take place in the social media landscape. We look forward to sharing some of our findings, analysis, and papers from our research with you.
