The interesting part is that the students "on the social and economic margins" are now finding ways to connect to learning, so be it non-traditional. I am guessing they have taken responsibility for themselves to make these connections for all the reasons listed above -- lack of stimulating classrooms, increased social connections, etc.

How will schools leverage this new learning mode/environment/ecology? Secondary schools must be observant of the students all around them and take notice that kids do learn and can learn. They have found their niche! Now, let the students go!

Interesting points. Facebook has now taken over and gone beyond MySpace's success. Both teens and adults use Facebook, so I'm wondering why teens are still finding the site to be "cool"?

I happen to really favor your article. It really shows the differences between all digital things in today' society. It shows how different/who is most likely to use what social networking site, which i found very interesting, along with your research. (i.e Facebook and MySpace)

Interesting find that poorer households are choosing to go without a landline in preference of a mobile. Perhaps this is because mobile pay as you go tariffs are more managable on a budget. Just as electricity meters which require prepayment are popular with people from poorer households. They can work out a lot more expensive though in terms with service received vs outlay. So that's the tradeoff.
